Memphis families, mark your calendars! On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the Theatre Memphis campus will be transformed into a lively playground of imagination, laughter, and creativity for the Memphis Children’s Theatre Festival. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., kids and parents alike can enjoy a magical day filled with theatre, music, dance, food, and activities—all designed to celebrate the joy of childhood.

Best of all? This exciting community event is FREE and open to the public with a pay-what-you-can option to help support the festival.

What to Expect

Adventure will be waiting at every corner of the Theatre Memphis grounds (630 Perkins Extd. at Southern Ave). Inside and outside the theatre, families will find:

• Interactive performances and games for children of all ages
• Hands-on classes and workshops led by local artists and educators
• Delicious bites from food trucks and local vendors
• Community partner booths offering resources and family fun
• Live entertainment with dance, theatre, and music happening throughout the day

A Festival with Heart

The Memphis Children’s Theatre Festival has grown into an energetic annual tradition with Theatre Memphis as its home. Originally launched by the Voices of the South theatre group, the festival carries on its mission to create a safe, affordable, and inspiring space where kids can let their imaginations soar.

Supported by the Theatre Memphis Department of Outreach and Education, the celebration brings together a vibrant mix of area performers, artists, and teachers. Their goal? To fuel creativity and provide families with unforgettable experiences that show the power of the arts.
